Taye Hailu SR

Pastor Hailu was called to preach and teach the Gospel in January 1996. Under the Leadership of Pastor Carey E. Pointer, Jr., Greater Fellowship Full Gospel Baptist Church, he accepted his call and preached his initial sermon on August 11, 1996. In March of 2012, New Direction Church was founded with the mission to introduce and connect people to Jesus Christ; grow them for discipleship; and, assist them with discovering their God-given purpose while serving God and His people.

Pastor Taye has more than 24 years of leadership and service to the DC/Maryland/Virginia community. March 3, 2021, will be Pastor Taye’s Pastoral and New Direction’ss 9th Anniversary.

New Direction is a non denominational church that serves as a conduit for change in the lives of God’s people; helping them point themselves in the direction that God has purposed for their lives. Our guiding scripture Psalm 119:59 “I Have considered my ways and have turned my steps to your statues” (NIV)
